Planned PayMyTuition outage Sept. 23
Self-service payment functions in myTRU will be unavailable from Monday, Sept. 23, from 2:30 – 4 a.m. due to planned PayMyTuition maintenance.
During this time, you will not be able to access the self-service payment function in myTRU.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work is completed.
Planned service outage for Banner – Sept. 20
Banner and related systems will be offline from 1:30 to 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 while Ellucian performs necessary maintenance.
During this outage there will be no access to the following:
- Banner Admin pages
- Self-service functions in myTRU and TRUemployee, including online registration, payments, timesheets, transcripts and other academic record details, tax forms and faculty grade entry
- Any TRU online forms requiring payment
- DegreeWorks
- Argos reports
- FAST
- Other core applications related to Banner
The main TRU website and Moodle will not be impacted by this outage.
FASD Together Unconference – Sept. 27
September is fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) Awareness Month and Sept. 9 is recognized around the world as International FASD Awareness Day.
Families and caregivers are invited to the FASD Together Unconference, hosted by TRU’s Department of Education and Social Work in partnership with Insight Support Services and Inspire Kids BC, on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Campus Activity Centre (Terrace and Alpine Rooms).
The free event includes breakfast, lunch and opportunities to connect with others, learn from lived experiences and discuss local concerns related to FASD.
Registration is required before Wednesday, Sept. 24

Construction updates: work continues on the Low-Carbon District Energy System
TRU is proud to lead the way in sustainability with the Low-Carbon District Energy System (LCDES). This major infrastructure project will eventually connect campus buildings to an innovative heat pump system — replacing natural gas boilers and significantly reducing TRU’s carbon footprint.
Multiple construction activities are underway or scheduled, resulting in temporary closures and rerouted access points across Kamloops campus. Visit tru.ca/lcdes for maps and updates.
