Government’s Mandate Letter
Each year the Ministry of Post Secondary Education and Future Skills sends a Mandate Letter to all public post-secondary institutions. This letter articulates strategic priorities, accountabilities, roles and responsibilities, public policy issues, and performance and reporting expectations between post-secondary institutions and the provincial government. It is signed by all members of Thompson Rivers University Board of Governors to confirm the Board’s legislated obligations to act in the best interest of TRU and to act in compliance with the Government’s Taxpayer Accountability Principles when fulfilling its responsibilities. Mandate letters can be found on the British Columbia government's web page at this link.
